Sequana Group has strengthened its national environmental and infrastructure advisory capability with the acquisition of WolfPeak, marking a significant step in the company’s broader expansion across Australia. The move brings together two businesses with long-standing expertise in complex project approvals, environmental assessment and risk management for sectors including water, infrastructure and government.
WolfPeak will continue operating under its respected brand with Steve Fermio (WolfPeak Founder and Director) and Tim Stubbs (WolfPeak Founder and CEO), remaining in leadership positions through the transition. The combined expertise will support major infrastructure programs and regulatory processes, while deepening services across impact assessment, environmental management and stakeholder engagement.

Why WolfPeak is joining Sequana Group
WolfPeak has built a strong reputation delivering environmental advisory services across New South Wales, including planning approvals, biodiversity assessment, compliance, ESG advisory and project governance. The firm has also supported major water infrastructure projects, resilience planning and environmental risk studies. Joining Sequana Group provides additional commercial scale, national reach and investment capacity to support its growth ambitions.
Fermio said the partnership allows both teams to continue growing while maintaining the culture and technical focus that define the WolfPeak approach. He said the shared values across both organisations made the decision a natural step and would enable staff to access new career pathways.
Stubbs said the alignment of services and cultures would give clients confidence that WolfPeak’s strengths would be maintained as it expanded capability across new jurisdictions and industries.
How the Sequana Group expansion strengthens water and infrastructure capability
Sequana Group provides technical advisory, design, project delivery, and operations support across the water, transport, energy, resources, and government sectors. The acquisition of WolfPeak strengthens the group’s environmental arm and consolidates capability in regulatory approvals, environmental strategy and sustainability planning, including for water utilities navigating increasingly complex legislative settings.
Frank Fisseler, Sequana Group CEO and Co-Founder, said the integration of WolfPeak is a strategic investment in the expertise required to support national infrastructure programs. He said the expansion reflects Sequana Group’s long-term commitment to sustainable project delivery and improved environmental outcomes.
The acquisition follows Sequana Group’s earlier growth through Factotum and other specialist advisory services, signalling continued consolidation within the environmental and infrastructure consulting sector.
As the transition progresses, WolfPeak and Sequana Group will continue to engage with clients to ensure service continuity and explore new opportunities created by the expanded capability.
