Kingspan Water Tanks provides modular, high-capacity water storage systems built to withstand Australia’s toughest industrial conditions.
Not all water tanks are created equal. When conditions are harsh and uptime is critical, Kingspan Water Tanks delivers purpose-built storage systems that meet the highest standards in the industrial sector.
With a legacy dating back to 1934, Kingspan Water Tanks has established itself as a trusted supplier for mining, desalination, fire protection, and stormwater detention. Their tanks are not only strong, but they are also engineered to perform reliably in some of Australia’s most remote and challenging environments.
Engineered for industrial performance
Kingspan’s commercial and industrial product line includes a wide range of configurations, including glass-fused-to-steel, epoxy-coated, and galvanised steel tanks. Each model features a modular design for simplified transport and assembly, helping teams reduce project lead times.
These tanks are specifically designed to handle high volumes of abrasive slurry, chemically aggressive fluids, and process water. Their low-maintenance design and long service life make them a dependable choice for clients seeking total cost-of-ownership value. In addition, all tanks comply with global engineering standards and are supported by Kingspan’s expert technical team.
Flexible tank models for tailored storage
Among Kingspan’s standout products is the Model KSR round liner tank. Built using Kingspan’s hydraulic jacking system, the KSR tank meets AS2304:2019 fire water storage standards and is ideal for a wide range of storage applications. Each unit is equipped with liners suited to specific chemical compositions or water sources and is flat-packed for efficient shipping across Australia or overseas.
Also available is the Model KSS range of square or rectangular tanks. These tanks can be constructed with multiple compartments to separate contents or function as standalone units. They support a wide variety of installation methods, from flat slabs to piers and beams. Each tank can be supplied in galvanised steel, stainless steel (304 or 316), or powder-coated finishes that match specific project aesthetics.
Rapid project delivery on-site
Kingspan recently demonstrated its engineering agility by replacing a fire tank at a Perth hospital within just seven days. The new AS2304:2019-compliant tank, measuring 4m x 3.5m x 2m, included a lateral partition and was built with two compartments to streamline maintenance and support operational continuity.
At Hope Downs, one of Western Australia’s leading iron ore operations, Kingspan installed four 500KL corrugated steel tanks. Each tank measured 14.565 metres in diameter and 3.6 metres in height. Two of the tanks now serve the site’s fire protection system, while the other two supply potable water for mine personnel.
Proudly manufactured in Australia
All Kingspan commercial and industrial tanks are manufactured in Queensland or Western Australia under a quality system certified to ISO 9001. This local production supports fast turnaround times and ensures product consistency across all projects, whether large or small.
For water storage that meets the operational realities of mining, industrial, and infrastructure projects, Kingspan Water Tanks continues to raise the standard.
“Reliable, modular, and ready to perform, our tanks are engineered for the real world.”
