Drainage, sewer and stormwater workshop series

Water engineering is a hot topic in the industry these days. With seemingly never-ending water events impacting our daily lives, Civil Survey Solutions has heard from many of its clients that they need to know how their organisation can design and manage their hydro projects with more efficiency and accuracy.

Water engineering is a hot topic in the industry these days. With seemingly never-ending water events impacting our daily lives, Civil Survey Solutions has heard from many of its clients that they need to know how their organisation can design and manage their hydro projects with more efficiency and accuracy.

This is why Civil Survey Solutions have teamed up with the team at Autodesk Innovyze to host a Drainage, Sewer and Flood Workshop series in numerous locations across the east coast during March 2023. Hosted by engineers who are experts in all things Drainage, Sewer and Flood design, this workshop will showcase Innovyze software, which has recently joined the Autodesk Portfolio. These free events will showcase a range of water management solutions, primarily InfoDrainage and InfoWorks ICM, and how they can be used to improve workflows. You will hear from our team at Civil Survey Solutions, as well as Innovyze themselves, with plenty of question time, networking opportunities and will assist you in racking up some of those handy CPD points.

Learn how to include InfoDrainage into your road, subdivision, or site development project, to provide a far greater method of designing all your drainage elements. During the workshop, Civil Survey Solutions will be showing a real-world example of the roundtrip between Civil 3D and InfoDrainage, and how you can use the artificial design tools in InfoDrainage, designing to ARR2019.

InfoDrainage provides a single smart graphical layout for conceptual and detailed drainage design of pipes, manholes and green infrastructure (water-sensitive urban design).  InfoDrainage is able to:

  • Import/export of CAD, GIS and Civil 3D data for faster setup and collaboration with stakeholders
  • Output customised design reports for streamlined compliance approvals
  • Apply rigorous detailed hydraulic analysis incorporating Australian Rainfall and Runoff 2019 requirements
  • Round trip between Civil 3D and Infodrainage for multiple iterations of design and output green infrastructure to Civil 3D to communicate design intent
  • Deliver 1D/2D advanced analysis for evaluating exceedance flows

What will the workshop series achieve?

See the power of InfoWorks ICM from an Innovyze demonstration showcasing its features as a complete catchment flood modelling solution. Over the past few years, increased investments in water infrastructure are leading to multiple tenders. They are consistently calling for fast, reliable technology to aid their mission of building community resilience and systems that can withstand extreme weather events. InfoWorks ICM is being used for many applications around the world. It includes a complete state-wide flood model of Tasmania, the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.

InfoWorks ICM (Integrated Catchment Model), is a one-stop solution with industry-leading capabilities focusing on sewer, stormwater, flooding. ICM is able to:

  • Fully integrated river, urban drainage and overland flow modelling
  • Conduct holistic hydrological and hydraulic assessments
  • Facilitate project collaboration and team working
  • Evolve to “Live” modelling
