Capture the value of IIOT: Harmony HUB Gateway

The Harmony wireless remote-control offerings are designed for intuitive and safe operation with the industrial Internet of Things (IIOT). Using a 2.4 GHz license-free radio frequency, it is suitable for worldwide deployment. The flexibility and ergonomic design of the remote control contribute to improved productivity. With its operator mobility, the remote radio devices give complete freedom in hoisting and material handling applications.

Introducing Harmony Hub Wireless/Ethernet gateway (ZBRN 1)

Start capturing the value of IIOT for your machines and your plant with 80 per cent less installation time! An easy-to-install, non-intrusive and open wireless system facilitates the digitisation of any production line. It provides data to improve operational efficiency or allow easy connectivity for intelligent machines.

This configurable harmony Hub is part of the range of Harmony XB5R plastic and XB4R metal wireless and battery-less pushbuttons. It provides network connectivity openness by operating as intermediate equipment between the wireless devices and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controller) or industrial PCs (IT/OT box) that support Modbus/TCP protocols. The Harmony HUB Gateway has IIOT features, including:

  • A display separated into seven segments;
  • jog dial;
  • eight indicating LEDs (Power On, functions mode, communication status, signal strength); and
  • external antenna connector and protective plug.

It features one slot for the communication module ZBRCETH (sold separately). It weighs 270g.

Harmony Hub is a wireless gateway for collecting data from operator interfaces and sensors to start your digitisation journey on your installed base.

Harmony Hub can be used with transmitters such as XB4R and XB5R wireless and battery-less pushbuttons. Other transmitters include rope pull switches, mushroom head pushbuttons, emergency stop monitoring, wireless and battery-less limit switches, and temperature and energy sensors.

More flexibility

Harmony Hub provides an easy way to digitise your production line to improve overall equipment efficiency (OEE) by using a non-intrusive wireless system that is easy to connect to the IT system.

More devices

An external or relay antenna can improve signal reception. Harmony Hub can support up to 60 radio transmitters. It can be configured using the jog dial and 7-segment display (configuration and diagnostic modes), SoMachine, Unity Pro software, a third-party FDT container using DTM (Device Type Manager) files (1)(2), or an SD card.

More open

Ethernet-based connectivity to information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) architecture.
