Busselton households are set to benefit from new Busselton Water waterwise offers, with five programs now available to help residents save on bills while reducing water use.
The initiative, part of a Statewide program from the Cook Government, runs from October 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026, and targets some of the biggest sources of household water consumption.
With showering accounting for nearly a quarter of all household water use, the Showerhead Swap Program allows residents to exchange up to two old showerheads for new water-efficient, 4-star-rated models.
The Waterwise Toilet Rebate offers up to $400 for replacing a single-flush toilet with a dual-flush, 4-star-rated model. Residents installing or replacing plumbed-in rainwater tanks can claim up to $1,000 through the Rainwater Tank Rebate.
Outdoor water efficiency is also supported. A rebate of up to $300 is available for eligible weather-based irrigation controllers. In comparison, the Waterwise Irrigation Rebate offers up to $200 when customers engage a Waterwise Garden Irrigator to improve irrigation efficiency.
Minister for Water and South West Don Punch said the Busselton Water Waterwise offers would help residents lower costs while supporting long-term water security.
“Busselton Water’s new waterwise offers will help residents save on bills while supporting vital water conservation efforts in a region facing pressure on its water sources,” Don Punch said.
“Despite a wetter-than-usual winter, much of the rainfall isn’t reaching our aquifers, highlighting the need for proactive water-saving measures. If every customer saved just two buckets of water a day for a year, we’d collectively save enough to fill the Geographe Leisure Centre pool over 230 times. So I encourage everyone to take up the offers and learn more about how we manage and protect our water supply for future generations,” he said.
The five Waterwise offers are available to all residential customers of Busselton Water, subject to specific terms and conditions.
