Throughout May and June, Yarra Valley Water customers can borrow a book and save up to 50 per cent on water bills by visiting local libraries.
Customers are being invited to visit Craigieburn, Glenroy, and Lalor libraries to learn how they can get financial relief or better manage their bill payments.
Yarra Valley Water’s financial support team can help Pension and Concession Card holders apply for bill concessions of up to 50 per cent and eligible customers to apply for up to $650 in Utility Relief Grants.
All customers can also benefit with a range of payment options that make it easier to manage bills, such as setting up flexible payment plans, payment extensions or monthly direct debits.
Yarra Valley Water Chief Financial Officer Natalie Foeng said the team is on hand to help customers get support when they need it.
“We know times are tough, and we’re here to help. Our dedicated financial support team is heading into the community to assist customers with concessions, payment plans, and government grants,” Foeng said. “We want to make it easy for customers to find out what support is available with ‘pop-up’ stands at local libraries. Our team can often help on the spot with savings for eligible customers or easier ways to pay, so we’re encouraging everyone to drop in and talk with us.”
The financial support pop-up events are at:
Craigieburn Library – 75-95 Central Park Avenue (Thursday 8 and 15 May, 5-8 pm)
Glenroy Library – 50 Wheatsheaf Road (Wednesday 21 and 28 May, 10 am-1 pm, and Thursday 22 and 29 May, 4:30-7:30 pm)
Lalor Library – 2A May Road (Wednesday 4 and 18 June, 10 am-1 pm)
