AMS Instrumentation & Calibration has introduced the optek C800 electrochemical converter for continuous pH and conductivity monitoring.
The converter is designed for applications where process water quality, discharge conditions or bioprocess control need reliable measurement. It combines digital conductivity measurement with analogue pH measurement in a device designed for easy integration with skids and panels.
The C800 is relevant to industrial sites where water quality is closely tied to process control. That can include high-purity process water, treated process streams, trade waste, industrial wastewater and reuse applications.

What does the C800 measure?
The C800 converter is designed for optek digital conductivity sensors and pH electrodes. It is compatible with optek ACS60 or ACF60 digital conductivity sensors. The converter supports continuous monitoring of conductivity and pH.
The converter’s measurement functions are suited to environments where water quality needs to be monitored continuously rather than checked only through periodic sampling.
How can the C800 be configured?
The C800 series is available with one or two channels. Variants are available for one conductivity probe, two conductivity probes, or a mixed setup for conductivity and pH. That gives system designers flexibility when integrating measurement into water treatment skids, process panels or plant control environments.
The device has been developed for use in both multi-use and single-use systems.
AMS said the converter also enables multi-range conductivity measurements.
That can help sites manage different measurement ranges across process water, cleaning cycles, product-contact systems, or wastewater streams.
Why does ease of use matter?
Water and wastewater monitoring equipment often needs to be used by operators, technicians and service teams across different shifts or sites.
The C800 uses front-panel push buttons and full-text menus.
Menus are available in nine languages.
The converter parameter set can be read out and stored through a USB connection on the front panel.
This allows quicker configuration across several instruments. It can also reduce setup time when multiple units are installed across similar skids, panels or production lines.
