Acuriant to launch containerised ceramic UF system

Acuriant Technologies will launch its new Containerised CUF System at Singapore International Water Week 2026.

The company will exhibit at Marina Bay Sands from 15 June to 19 and present two technical papers at the SIWW Water Convention.

The launch follows Acuriant’s shortlisting as 2026 Water Technology Company of the Year by GWI.

Acuriant said the recognition followed sustained product innovation across its Nanostone ceramic ultrafiltration portfolio.

What is the Containerised CUF System?

The Containerised CUF System is a standardised ceramic ultrafiltration package built on the Nanostone ceramic UF platform.

It is designed within a modular 40-foot containerised footprint.

Each installation can deliver up to 10 megalitres a day of reverse osmosis-ready permeate, with recovery above 95 per cent and turbidity below 0.1 NTU.

Acuriant said the system can maintain stable performance during high-turbidity events, algal peaks, elevated organic carbon and seasonal source water shifts.

It is also designed to remove pathogens and suspended solids.

Where can the system be used?

Acuriant said the system can be deployed for municipal drinking water, reverse osmosis pretreatment, industrial process water and wastewater reuse.

It can also provide rapid-deployment treatment capacity for emergency response and pilot installations.

Because the system ships in standard containers, it requires minimal civil works.

Acuriant said commissioning can take days rather than months.

Chief Executive Officer Juergen von Hollen said the market question around ceramic ultrafiltration has changed.

“The question among utilities and industrial operators is no longer whether ceramic ultrafiltration performs,” von Hollen said. “It is how fast they can deploy it, and at what cost. The Containerised CUF System, in combination with Nanostone’s CUF|Flow, brings the economics into mainstream territory. For utilities and industrial users facing growing source-water volatility, ceramic ultrafiltration is moving from a specialist option to a credible infrastructure choice.”

How is Acuriant expanding ceramic ultrafiltration?

Acuriant has expanded the Nanostone ceramic ultrafiltration portfolio from one module to three.

CUF|Shield is designed for high-solids and high-fouling source water.

CUF|ShieldPlus targets complex industrial streams, including semiconductor fabrication wastewater.

CUF|Flow has been developed for high-capacity deployments.

Acuriant’s separation and filtration platforms now span more than 450 installations worldwide.

That includes CUF|ShieldPlus deployments at more than 50 semiconductor fabrication facilities.

What will Acuriant present at SIWW?

Acuriant Chief Technology Officer Dr Christian Goebbert will deliver two presentations at the SIWW Water Convention.

One presentation will introduce polyelectrolyte-modified ceramic UF membranes for micropollutant removal.

Acuriant said this would extend ceramic ultrafiltration into a treatment area that conventional UF cannot address.

The second presentation will trace the CUF|Flow module from concept through pilot validation, manufacturing scale-up and qualified field deployment.

Acuriant will exhibit at Hall E, Booth B2-G18 throughout SIWW 2026.
